Sub: Central Excise Union Budget 2005 – Instructions – Reg.

 The Finance Bill has been introduced in the Lok Sabha on 28^th February 2005 .  The changes relating to the Tariff effected by the Finance Bill, 2005 and the Notifications issued (unless otherwise indicated in the bill or in the individual notifications) will come into force from the mid-night of 28-02-2005 / 01-03-2005.

            The budget bulletins brought out by the Directorate of publicity and public relations, Customs and Central Excise, can be had on payment form Central Excise Policy Section, O/o, The Commissioner of Central Excise, No.1, Williams Road , Cantonment, Trichy-1 from 02-03-2005 .

            Salient features of the budgetary proposals regarding Central Excise and Service Tax are enclosed in the annexure.

The contents of this Trade Notice may be brought to the knowledge of all constituent members of the Trade Associations and Chamber of Commerce
