                 Subject:  Service Tax- Union Budget 2005-2006 Communication of explanatory notes and Notification No. 4/2005 ST to 8/2005 ST dt  1-3-2005 –Regarding.

            The Finance Bill has been introduced in the Lok Sabha on 28^th Feb 2005 . The Service Tax  on new services will come into force only from a date to be notified after the enactment of the Finance Bill, 2005. 

            Salient features of the budgetary proposals regarding Service Tax and  Service Tax Notification Nos.4/2005 ST to 8/2005 ST  issued under F.No.3341/1/2005-TRU dtd 1-3-05 , are communicated for information, guidance and necessary action.

            The contents of this Trade Notice may be brought to the knowledge of all constituent members of the Trade Associations and Chamber of Commerce.
